These pictures were shared with me and I thought they were so special I wanted to post them. They are of my father-in-law, Gerald "Glenn" Furbish as a young Air Force Pilot. He spent a career in the US Air Force of which he is understandably very proud as are we. He's in his 80's now, all the WWII veterans are getting up there in years. (click the pics to blow them up)
Let's remember and honor all the very special Veterans in our lives, those that have served and those that are serving today. My husband Greg is a veteran, retired career Army and my father, Beecher Lafever is also a veteran of the Vietnam War. We have friends here in Alaska, Marco that had retired after a career in the Army but re-enlisted for one year to serve in Afghanistan and Scott that is still in the Army and just returned from a tour in Iraq.
