Dinner at Seven Glaciers, Alyeska Resort in Girdwood

We decided to do something special for the upcoming long weekend and ate dinner at Seven Glaciers last night. It's part of the Alyeska Resort at the top of one of the mountains behind the ski resort. We haven't had quite a fancy meal like this in a while. The plates were adorned with sauces, creams, and oil swirls for presentation and additional flavor. On the way home, we experienced a beautiful sunset driving along Turnagain Arm, a spectacular rainbow and a pod of beluga whales.

The view from the bar window...

another expanded view...

savoring the view, waiting for dinner service to begin...

in between courses...

tasty treats, the Baked Alyeska...

a view of the Alyeska Resort way at the bottom of the valley...

the tram terminus... and Seven Glaciers restaurant...
